I'm a beginner road cyclist and had concerns about my gears. Walked in without an appointment (Saturday), and the workshop team assisted immediately with the issue fixed in less than 15mins. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff all-round. Highly recommended - I'll certainly be returning for other bike services!

Thanks to Michael at Maison du Velo for his knowledge, skill and professionalism. He did some bespoke work on my 40 year-old "classic" road bike, (which has aged better than I have), replacing the freewheel with an updated block with much wider gearing - a job that other local bike shops had told me could not be done! This combined with a gear service - and all for a reasonable price - means that my bike effectively has a new lease of life. I am delighted, and would highly recommend for servicing and repairs - I haven't tried the coffee yet, but I will!

Booked online in the evening for a brake service and found there was availability for the following day. I dropped the bike off the following morning and everything was completed by early afternoon. So easy and fantastic service!!

One Mechanic
Drop your bike off directly to our mechanic to discuss your repair, no dealing with reception, less knowledgeable staff or having to worry about whether your requests have been passed on. Stay in touch via phone, text, email and WhatsApp to stay up to date on your repair and get automated messages on your bikes progress.
No surcharge for unusual bikes
Unlike other stores, we don't charge you any extra if you bring us an unusual bike. Whether Brompton, E-bike or Cargo bike, our service charges remain the same.
No surcharge for supplied parts
Want to bring in all your own parts or purchase parts from elsewhere? No problem! We love getting people out riding and as such, unlike almost all other bike shops, you wont incur a surcharge for us to fit parts you supply.
Quick turnaround, but never rushed
We always aim to get your bike ready on the day of your booking, as long as we have the correct parts in stock. But we always take our time, even in peak season we make sure your bike is never rushed and there is plenty of time set aside for your bike to get the attention it deserves.
Never on the hard sell
We will always recommend replacing worn parts and we love suggesting upgrades to make your bike even better, but we are never on the hard sell. You are always in full control of what we replace and what spec parts we use.
Brands we believe in
Being an independent , family run bike shop we never sell anything we don't believe in. Unlike chain stores which are forced into stocking certain brands regardless of quality or real world experience, we make sure we only sell parts we would, and do use ourselves.
