Using their considerable experience from the road and mountain bike market, the Storck team have produced an exceptional entry to the cyclocross market.
The T.I.X. is across frame in a class of its own with an oversized headset for increased head tube stiffness, proportional tubing and ‘Directional Depending Stiffness’ for best technical performance in all frame sizes. ‘Torque Free Axles’ provide greater stability and disc brakes ensue supreme stopping power.
Rethink: This Is Cross
The T.I.X has been designed with Directional Depending Stiffness. This gives the frame exceptional handling while providing incredible levels of comfort for when it’s bumpy. The less is more optic is achieved in part by the internal cable routing.
One key feature is the new fork that provides a significant flex for riding comfort but even more for control. The fork is designed to flex when forces come from the ground, but will not bend under the forces of braking with the disc. The lateral stiffness is even higher to provide scalpel knife precision and control for steering. T.I.X is designed exclusively for disc brakes and is compatible with both hydraulic and mechanical disc. The frame and fork feature a thru axels design that ads stiffness and improves handling.
Thru Axel Wheels
Storck have lead the way with Thru Axel road disc bike design since 2013. Since then a number of wheel manufacturers have adopted the 9x100mm front and 10x135mm rear thru axel design (most using end cap adapters). Wheels are now readily available from DT Swiss, ENVE, Industry Nine and American Classic with more coming soon.
